Generations: Stories From Rutland County

A New Documentary Series on PEGTV

Rutland, VT – PEGTV is proud to announce the release of its first documentary series, “Generations: Stories from Rutland County.” This PEGTV-produced show shines a spotlight on the Rutland County families that helped shaped our community. Their stories, as told by their living relatives, take viewers on a nostalgic journey by exploring their local origins that created a lasting legacy for future generations.

The first film of the series follows the lineage of the Costello family as told by local celebrity Steve Costello and his cousins, BJ Costello, Michelle Kaufman and Katrina Clark. Their family story is one of heartache and hardship, but also one of triumph. The story begins with a 1928 Rutland Herald editorial read by Steve Costello describing the sudden and tragic loss of his grandfather Bartley Costello who passed away at the age of forty-nine, leaving behind a wife and nine children at the beginning of the depression. It’s a must-see documentary that will touch your heart, and give you a new outlook on East Washington Street in Rutland City.

“Rutland County is a special place for many different reasons, but our biggest asset is the people who live here,” said Missi Delehanty, the Program Development Coordinator at the station. “This series celebrates our residents and their rich history. I’m so excited for viewers to see our community through the eyes of these incredible families who shared their remarkable stories.”

“Generations: Stories from Rutland County – The Costello Family” will premiere on Channel 15, Thursday February 15th at 8:00pm. It will also be available to watch online at pegtv.com.
