PEGTV has a new set of program services and a new, very accurate Rutland County weather feature that have been added to their web site.
service provides a program currently being telecast on one of our three channels. The programs shown on streaming video will be a simulcast of whatever is playing on that day's channel.
service provides a library of recent PEGTV programs for viewers to choose from at their convenience any time of day or night.
In announcing the new services Michael J. Valentine, PEGTV executive director, said. “The iPEG services have been added to our web site to provide expanded service and convenience to PEGTV viewers. The ability for viewers to watch specific programs on their own schedule, not ours, is an important feature we hope will bring more of PEGTV’s programming to more people in Rutland County”. He added “our web site has been redesigned to accommodate the new iPEG services and also includes a Rutland County weather feature, a “what’s new at PEGTV” and viewer a feedback section.”
“Our goal is to provide information about community news and events and I think that the iPEG services add considerably to our goal of becoming Rutland County’s information stations”.
PEGTV’s new weather service is a true local forecast for Rutland County. A small scale weather station, complete with a tower, weather sensors and a computer have been installed at PEGTV’s office in Howe Center. This new service will provide viewers accurate weather information and forecasts 24/7.
PEGTV serves approximately 15,000 homes in Rutland County through three TV channels. Channel 15 is the public channel, 20 is the education channel and 21 is the government channel.
