ACCESS is PEGTV's self-produced weekly half-hour news magazine that airs on Channel 15. The show made its debut in September of 2010 and features regular segments covering issues, events and people that have been in the spotlight as well as serving as a comprehensive guide to upcoming non-profit activities and fundraisers. The ACCESS show is underwriten by the Rutland Regional Medical Center. Castleton University sponsors our Rutland Roundup segment and VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region sponsors our Senior Moment segment.


Amanda Wheeler hails from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and is well-versed in topics that impact the Green Mountain state. Amanda is a graduate of the Television Studies program at Lyndon State College and secured an internship with Fox Carolina in Greenville, SC and was hired on as a full-time writer before walking at graduation. Amanda began producing for Better Carolinas and The Morning News before returning to New England and finding the perfect fit at PEGTV. When she is not out shooting stories and producing ACCESS, you can find Amanda on the golf course, slopes, yoga class, hiking and spending time with family and friends.


Alex Brownell joined PEGTV’s staff as the new Field Producer for Access news magazine. Alex is a former intern at the station and a recent graduate of Castleton University. She grew up in Colchester Vermont and loves recreate outdoors. She’s looking forward to meeting more people in the community and bringing their stories to ACCESS.


Daniel Appelt grew up in Whiting, VT and studied film at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After graduating he moved to New York City to work as an intern and production assistant on various film productions. He recently returned to his home state to put his training to use at PEGTV.


Ashley Nelson is a Production Assistant at PEGTV and a Field Producer for Access. She grew up in Waterbury VT and is a student at Castleton University with a passion for video production.  She’s also the proud cat mom of two, and dreams of working in the control room of Saturday Night Live.
